My story of becoming a Mama did not go as I planned, but exactly how God planned. After a year of trying to get pregnant, followed by a miscarriage, Jude Michael arrived in March 2011 and made me a Mama. Isaac came along not long after in June 2012. I'm in the trenches of baby and toddler-hood and spending a lot of time on my knees and learning about my imperfectness - thanking God for grace. But I adore being a Mama and love these boys more than I ever thought imaginable.
NOW - our family is on the verge of more change! We are adopting another son from China. We hope to bring him home sometime in May 2015, so the countdown is on. Our journey has been a wild ride already, so please check out my posts on adoption for more info.
Among the things I love are singing, folky rock music, chai tea, Michigan fall, peanut butter, brand new babies, pretending to be an artist, and getting in God's Word. In no particular order.
I've been a writer for as long as I can remember. I think my first journal began when I was 8 years old. I've had a blog before blogging was cool (because it's cool now, right?). Xanga, LiveJournal. Oh yes. Been there.
Really - I just like sharing life and this is another way to do it. I want to be up-front with this blog that this is me being real and sincere. There was a point when I tried to find my "niche" in the blogging world, but for me, writing is therapeutic and I just need to write what is on my heart. I value transparency and sincerity... that is how we learn and grow and challenge each other in our walks with the Lord. And I love the real, raw friendship that comes out of people being real with each other.
Thanks for stopping by, friends.
